Technology
Latest advanced small quadrupole mass spectrometer (MS) technology. Sub-second gas sampling averaged and exported every second. Gas data accuracy not affected by interfering gases — unlike Infra-Red sensor technology.
CSA Class 1, Division 2 approved (Canada & US). No Daily Maintenance required. If no Geologist or Mud Logger on location the RGA continuously self-monitors operation and Alarms if a Failure or Alarm setting is triggered. The RGA continuously monitors its own gas sample parameters and system operation.
Encrypted wireless communication of gas data transmits to the RGA Laptop and displays in Renaissance Logger Software. Nothing to run to the Geo Shack.
Prevents freeze-offs from interrupting gas sample flow to the RGA unit during winter operations. Ensures reliable year-round operation with no maintenance required.
Quantitative Gas Measurement (QGM) Gas Extraction Trap maximizes recovery of gases from the shale shaker. Cannot plug off with drill cuttings. Paired with the heated gas sample conditioner for uninterrupted flow.
Gas sample is drawn directly into the Mass Spectrometer via vacuum pump. Nitrogen (non-hazardous inert gas, supplied by RGD) is required only for corrosion protection and Class 1, Division 2 purge protection.
